Conexus Recruiting Merges with Citadel CFO

Conexus Recruiting merges with Citadel CFO, creating Conexus, the number one interim solutions and executive search group in Southern California.

This merger brings together two of Southern California’s premier recruiting firms, increasing the velocity of their growth in the region, and immediately expands the solutions available to the Firm’s clients and candidates. Conexus provides interim, direct hire, and executive search recruiting solutions in the Finance, Accounting, and Human Resources disciplines for companies throughout Southern California.

Conexus marries the strengths of Orange County-based Citadel CFO and Los Angeles-based Conexus Recruiting.  Citadel CFO is well known for offering just-in-time interim and interim-to-hire consulting solutions in the Finance and Accounting disciplines.  Conexus Recruiting is an affiliate of SRA, the ninth largest executive search group globally (based on the prestigious Hunt Scanlon rankings), possessing one of the top Finance and Accounting search practices in Los Angeles, as well as the number one HR recruiting practice in Southern California. Combining these two companies and their teams immediately turns the newly formed Conexus into one of the largest and most accomplished firms in Southern California that services the talent acquisition needs of CFOs and HR leaders.

Sean Gill, founder of Conexus Talent Acquisitions Solutions, states, “While conducting management and executive level searches for our clients, many have asked us to help with their interim needs as well. When we looked at the landscape of who was the best firm to partner with to provide these services, Citadel CFO was at the top of our list based on their reputation in the market and my longstanding relationship with Mike Kelly and his partners, Colleen Freeman and Matt Primeau. Over the past 15 years, Mike and his partners have successfully scaled two interim solutions firms on a national platform. As our firms began working together regularly, our synergies were obvious, and the merger was a natural outcome that we know will benefit both our clients and candidates long-term.”

Mike Kelly, Partner at Citadel CFO, states, “We have partnered with Conexus Recruiting and Sean Gill’s team many times over the years and have always been impressed with their recruiting skills and professionalism in assisting with tough executive level searches in the areas of finance, accounting and human resources.  As both of our companies grew to be leaders in Southern California, formalizing our partnership through a merger became a no brainer.”

The newly formed Conexus leadership team brings together a powerhouse of Los Angeles and Orange County talent with well over 1,500 successful executive-level searches and interim consulting projects within the finance, accounting, and HR disciplines between them.  The Los Angeles leadership team consists of Sean Gill, Mike Melloh, and Becky deSouza. In addition, David Saunders and Rob Rossman, two well-known finance and accounting consulting market leaders, are joining the all-star team to head up the Interim Solution division in Los Angeles.  The Orange County leadership team of Mike Kelly, Colleen Freeman and Matt Primeau possesses more than 50 combined years of successful Finance and Accounting recruitment experience. Both markets are supported by a team of expert recruiters.

Prior to entering the recruiting industry, these highly accomplished recruiting veterans were Big 4 CPAs and Consultants, Controllers, and HR leaders. In addition to their industry expertise, they each bring a large network of premier clients, private equity relationships and top tier candidates, as well as a shared mission to execute and protect the vision and strategy of CFOs and HR leaders.

About “Conexus”:
